Is a research on playgrounds in the city of Brussels. I began this research with observation by taking photographs and notes describing the playgrounds. Attached you will find a link to my thesis that I wrote at Luca school of arts (2022).

THE PLAYGROUND AND ITS OBJECTS
The playground is an area, boundary or public space where it is allowed to play. They are architect-ural interventions in the city designed for children. They often contain various types of playground equipment, such as slides, swings, climbing structures and seesaws. They are demarcated spaces bordered by a fence, a wall or bushes. This divides the inhabited area from the play area. Some-times you also find them in a forest or a park. Benches are placed at the sides of the playground to maintain good observation. The surface varies from sand to fake grass as a safety net for accidents. Fences catch balls and protect playing children from the street. Children develop through play as they interact with other children. They learn social skills and dexterity through the many opportunit-ies a playground has to offer. As part of this research, I describe each element of the playground as an individual entity. They are places, objects or parts that shape the playground. It is a kind of man-ual that gives you more information about the shape, material or function of the object.
